So Abby (my friend in South Africa who is arranging most of my journey) has sent what appears to be the final itinerary. She also sent a spreadsheet with the trip's estimated costs which I also have purposely ignored. Of course, that doesn't include the drugs I still have to purchase before the trip (Malaria pills and Cipro, for Shaka Zulu's Revenge) which apparently cost a couple hundred dollars.
Yes, ignorance is bliss. Which to many of you makes sense, since I am smiling most of the time.
I also am considering purchasing the GoPro Hero2 camera, which lets you attach the camera/camcorder to your head or helmet, etc. and record what you see. Thought it would be cool when doing the zipline that goes 85MPH at 900 feet above the ground in Sun City, South Africa or the one that flies through the canopy in Drakensburg. Check it out here...
